The Technology Enhanced Learning Team (TELT) continue to collaborate with academics and colleagues across QMUL to analyse the impact technology can have on the student experience. This month, TELT began a new pilot scheme with the school of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) to develop 3D models and virtual environments via the Mozilla Hubs platform.

The TELT attended the recent Mentimeter conference in Manchester and would like to pass on some of the upcoming developments mentioned in their roadmap.
As you might perhaps expect, AI was top of the tree in discussions throughout the day and featured prominently in their plans.Two new AI tools mentioned are:
These two tools are available on an opt in/out basis depending on data storage requirements, but hopefully we will have more news on these soon.
In addition to these, we can look forward to a post-session analytics tool to help presenters drill down into responses in word clouds etc, and a new desktop interface for those who wish to participate without using a hand-held device.

Q: How can I gain ownership of a Q-Review recording to edit and share recordings?A: You must raise an ITS Helpdesk ticket and within the ticket the existing owner must give permission for the rights to be passed over.
Q: How can I find out the existing owner of a Q-Review recording?A: Please raise an ITS helpdesk ticket for the attention of TELT.
Q: How can I ensure a specific individual is the owner of a scheduled Q-Review recordings?A: When making a Q-Review booking request (QReviewBookings@qmul.ac.uk) please ensure the individual making the request states they would like to be the owner of one or all the scheduled recordings.
