Elevate Your Skills: Don’t Miss the Upcoming TELT Training!

TELT is excited to announce a series of upcoming workshops designed to enhance your skills and understanding of our supported systems. These friendly sessions will provide valuable insights and practical knowledge to help you make the most of our educational technologies. Here’s a quick overview of what’s coming up:

Getting started with QMplus Hub

  • Date running: 10 October 2024

QMplus Hub is Queen Mary’s Online e-portfolio system. In this hour-long online session, participants will explore QMplus Hub alongside the trainers, learning how to navigate the system and how it can be used in their teaching. Participants are expected to be logged into QMplus Hub at the start of the session. Instructions will be sent with the booking confirmation.  In this session we'll look at:

  • What are e-portfolios and their role in higher education.
  • How to navigate the QMplus Hub interface & dashboard.
  • Editing your profile.
  • Creating a portfolio.
  • Communicating and sharing content with others. 
  • Where to go for further help.

Advanced QMplus Hub Training

The aim of this session is to familiarise participants with the advanced features of QMplus Hub and how these can be used as part of their teaching. Participants will learn the importance of e-portfolios and practice the more advanced features of the system. In this session we'll look at:

  • The different tools of QMplus Hub that can be used for teaching (e.g. peer marking, groups, journals).
  • The roles and permissions when sharing portfolios.
  • How to create groups and add group members. 
  • How to access student journals and provide feedback.
  • How to set up an assignment using QMplus Hub.
  • Where to go for further help.

We will spend some time on Mentimeter best practices as well as a few hands on examples of Mentimeter questions to bring to your next teaching session. Finally, we will showcase our new Accessibility feature!  In this session we'll look at:
