Updated Theme for QMplus Media

We are excited to announce a new update to the QMplus Media theme, following our recent upgrade of the QMplus Media player to version 7.

This update was made possible through the collaborative efforts of our team, with special thanks to Ron Anywar and Yanna Nedelcheva for their invaluable support. We also worked closely with our customer support team at Kaltura and their technical specialists to ensure the theme is optimized for QMUL staff and students. See an example below of how the updated theme may look on a laptop.

Key Updates:

  • Modernized Appearance: The overall look has been refreshed to align more closely with QMUL's branding colours, offering a sleek, modern aesthetic.
  • Personal Profile Button: A new personal profile button has been added, providing access to a unique profile page when clicked.
  • + Create Button: The "Create" button now replaces the previous "Add New" option, with an updated dropdown that includes new features like YouTube integration and a redesigned interface. You can also access upload, express capture, Capture, interactive videos and video quizzes here.
  • Enhanced Video Banner: We've introduced a modern banner at the top of the page, allowing users to switch between videos.
  • Custom Welcome Message: A new welcome message is now prominently displayed beneath the main banner.
  • Updated Footer: The footer has been revamped to include links to the QMUL website and social media platforms.
