Zoom is being decommissioned at the end of the 2024/25 academic year

The Queen Mary licence for Zoom will not be renewed at the end of the 2024/25 academic year.

You can continue to use Zoom for the 2024/25 academic year, however we encourage you to start using MS Teams instead.

Please raise a ticket with IT Services if you have any further questions or concerns about this change.

Please note that using Zoom beyond the 2024/25 academic year, including individual purchases, will not be supported.

FAQs:

What will happen to any Zoom sessions that I already have within my QMplus modules?
If you have embedded links to Zoom for your modules, you will still be able to use them.

Will I be able to create a link from QMplus to MS Teams to enable my students to enter a MS Teams session?
This is currently being worked on to support MS Teams integration in QMplus.

Will the recording be published to QMplus Media (Kaltura) while I am using MS Teams?
This functionality will change, you will be able to access the MS Teams recording within your QMplus modules, and within MS Teams.

What happens to my Zoom recordings?
Your Zoom recordings will remain in QMplus Media (Kaltura).
