Great Hall
1930s art-deco at its finest
Unveiled following an essential £6.3m refurbishment, the People’s Palace is home to the Great Hall.
Being a technically advanced 770-seat theatre with retractable seating, the Great Hall is also home to London’s second largest stage. It has been a staple venue in the activities of the University, playing host to graduation ceremonies, formal dances and lectures.
This art deco masterpiece has seen the likes of the Iron Maiden, Fleetwood Mac and the Rolling Stones grace its’ stage and the addition of a dedicated foyer with a bar and split mezzanine level balcony makes this venue the ideal place for hosting any type of event.
Whether a theatre festival or screening, a touring production or one-off gig; the Great Hall is as versatile as you need it to be.
