Profile
I am a multidisciplinary social scientist specialising in mixed-methods research on inequalities in health and health care. Currently, I work as the Associate Director for Research at the Health Equity Evidence Centre, where I lead initiatives that bridge research on health inequalities with actionable equity-driven solutions for healthcare systems.
In 2020, I completed my PhD in Sociology at the University of York where my research explored the intersectional structural drivers of health inequalities including socioeconomic position, gender, and migration. By applying intersectional approaches to power relations, I examined how institutional practices within specific contexts (re)produce health inequalities through narratives and practices that differentially impact individuals and groups based on their social locations. Since then, my work has spanned public health, healthcare services, and health policy, with numerous peer-reviewed publications and presentations in these fields.
