Profile
I am a Research Fellow in Health Data Science within the Clinical Effectiveness Group at the Centre for Primary Care. My current research utilises electronic health records (e.g., CPRD) to investigate health inequalities in cardiovascular diseases, as well as exploring the risk factors for dementia using large datasets (e.g., UK biobank, NHANES).
I have extensive experience in working with large-scale real-world datasets, including CPRD, UK Biobank, and NHANES, as well as applying advanced analytical methods such as genome-wide association studies (GWAS), Mendelian randomization, regression modelling, and structural equation modelling.
Before joining QMUL, I completed my PhD at the University of Leeds, where I explored the causal link between periodontal disease and poorer cognitive outcomes, including dementia. This research was funded by the Alzheimer’s Society Heather Corrie PhD Studentship. Prior to my PhD study, I spent four years in studying Psychology (BSc) and Applied Neuropsychology (MSc) at University of Bristol.
