Profile

I am working in the field of cancer research for over 8 years on cancer biology, genetic counselling and nurse-led programmes. I have been trained in United Kingdom (UK) from 2018-2022 in various reputed hospitals such as St. Barts Cancer Institute- London, Northern Gynecologic Oncology Centre- Gateshead, Sir Bobby Robson Hospital and Freeman's Hospital- Newcastle, and James Cook University Hospital, Middlesborough through the prestigious Department of Science and Technology- UK India Education and Research Inititative Programme (DST-UKIERI). I have also studied Genetic and Genomic counselling from Cardiff University UK. I have completed professional degree of B.Sc Nursing from West Bengal University of Health Sciences  and a postgraduate diploma in clinical trials in 2020. I have been working in and experience in reputed hospitals in India such as Tata Memorial Hospital Mumbai, Tata Medical Centre Kolkata, Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute Hazra and CNCI Newtown in the field of genetic counselling and nursing education. I have an immense stronghold in the international forum as I worked as a Mentorship and training program manager in International Gynecologic Cancer Society, a highly prestigious organisation in US that works on mentoring all clinicians across the world(https://igcs.org/contact/). I also worked with the Gynec Cancer Inter Group(GCIG)- the largest research group in the Europe that works on cancer research, as a GCIG Harmonisation Representative from Central Asia. I have also been working with IGCS in the Education Board as a co-author in the IGCS Nursing Education Programme(https://igcs.org/introducing-the-igcs-nursing-certificate-program/). I have been author and coauthor in some high impact factor, scopus indexed journals such as Nature communications and International Journal of Gynecologic Cancers as part of a research work with Harvard University, Tata Medical Centre, Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute and many other reputed organisations. I am currently working in Professor Manchanda’s team as genetic counsellor/clinical nurse specialist in the PROTECT- C study.
