Profile

I am a qualitative health researcher within the SHARE (Sexual Health and HIV All East Research) Collaborative, based in the Centre for Public Health and Policy. My current research explores implementation of injectable HIV treatment, patient decisions to participate in HIV research, and community and healthcare provider experiences of the 2022 multi-country mpox outbreak.

I previously worked as a Research Assistant at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), where I supported the design of monitoring and evaluation frameworks for complex public health interventions for communities located near mining operations in Zimbabwe, Brazil and South Africa, which included a substantial focus on HIV prevention, testing and treatment.

In 2021, I completed my MSc in Public Health at LSHTM, where my dissertation explored the psychosocial impact of HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis on gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men using qualitative data from the PROUD trial. I also hold a BA in Development Studies and Economics from SOAS, University of London.

Prior to my masters, I was Senior Policy and Campaigns Officer at the National AIDS Trust (NAT), where I undertook advocacy and research promoting the rights of people living with HIV in the UK. I also led NAT’s work with the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control monitoring the HIV and Hepatitis response across Europe and Central Asia.

Since 2020, I have written regularly for NAM – a charity focused on sharing accessible, accurate, and reliable information to support the fight against HIV and AIDS.
