Profile

Jessica is a research assistant with the Children’s Health in London and Luton (CHILL) study which explores the impacts of London’s Ultra Low Emission Zone on children’s health. Funded by the NIHR School of Primary Care Research (SPCR), Jessica is leading the Health Records sub-study that aims to link the CHILL cohort to NHS primary and secondary care records to assess the impact of the ULEZ on children’s health outcomes and healthcare utilization and costs.

She completed a BSc in Biological Sciences: Neuroscience and BA in Psychology from the University of Rochester, where she worked as a research assistant on the ECHO-UPSIDE study (Environmental Influences on Child Health Outcomes – Understanding Pregnancy Signals and Infant Development). She earned her MSc in Paediatrics and Child Health: Global Child Health at University College London (UCL).

Jessica’s research focuses on exploring the impacts of environmental exposures (e.g., air pollution, adverse housing, PFAS chemical contaminants, etc.) on children and young people’s health, well-being and educational outcomes.
