Profile

I am a PhD student in the Women’s Health Research Unit at Queen Mary, supervised by Professor Iliodromiti and Professor Thornton.

My project is an epidemiological data linkage study which aims to look at the risk factors and outcomes of preterm birth using hospital and GP data, including SAIL and CRPD. Through understanding these results, higher risk pregnancies can be identified, and potential interventions can be put in place to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes. I have a background in Biomedical Sciences which allows an interdisciplinary approach to analysis of the data in a biological context, pinpointing critical factors which influence pregnancy outcomes. This PhD is funded by Tommy’s Centre for Preterm Birth Research which is a collaboration between five leading UK universities.
