Dr Olufisayo OlakotanResearch AssociateEmail: o.olakotan@qmul.ac.ukProfileResearchPublicationsProfileI am a qualitative researcher affiliated with the Centre for Prevention, Detection, and Diagnosis, with a primary focus on improving the quality of General Practitioner (GP) referrals in the UK into Non-Specific Symptom (NSS) pathways. My research centres on the importance of accurate and consistent information acquisition within referral forms, as this pivotal aspect helps to mitigate potential delays or inefficiencies during the diagnostic process, thereby optimising the workflow of the NSS team. Previously, I was involved with the local maternal and neonatal services (LMNS) at the University Hospital of Leicester (UHL) NHS Trust, where my work revolved around translating data from the Perinatal Health Inequality Dashboard to enhance care and services.ResearchResearch Interests:-High quality cancer referrals -Computerised Clinical decision supports (CDSS) -Perinatal health inequalities Publications1.
