Profile

Being a researcher is about raising questions and looking for answers. I can be characterised as a problem solver, since as a scientist, I am interested in understanding and seeking for answers to relevant biological questions and also general questions in life. As a bioinformatician, I have been using up-to-date tools to obtain, process and analyse large data sets to better understand the genetic/epigenetic-mechanisms of ageing and cancer. As a consequence, I have gained experience on data processing and manipulation, data analysis, statistics, record keeping, logic and deduction, systems building, technical comprehension and accelerated learning.
