Profile

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Dementia and Neurodegeneration Policy Research Unit (DeNPRU-QM) in the Centre for Psychiatry and Mental Health. I use electronic health records like primary care datasets to provide evidence that policymakers need to develop and improve care for people living with neurodegenerative diseases like dementia, MS and Parkinson’s disease.

I studied my undergraduate in clinical psychology at University of Tehran and completed my postgraduate at UCL. Prior to starting my current role in March 2024, I worked as a research assistant on several dementia studies at UCL and QM.

I am a quantitative researcher, interested in prevention and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. I am also passionate about mental health of older adults, specifically underrepresented groups including refugees and migrants.
