Profile
I am a medical statistician at the Centre for Evaluation and Methods within Barts Clinical Trials Unit. I am the trial statistician for the TRANSFORM clinical trial, which aims to find the best way to screen men for prostate cancer. Additionally, I collaborate with colleagues in the Centre for Psychiatry and Mental Health on research projects focused on dementia and old-age psychiatry.
Previously, I worked at the Priment Clinical Trials Unit at UCL, where I gained extensive experience in the design, analysis, and conduct of clinical trials. I have contributed to both national and international studies across various disease areas, including cancer, dementia, and mental health. I also spent many years working with the Research Support Service, where I assisted research teams in developing competitive funding proposals. Beyond my role at Barts Clinical Trials Unit, I serve as a statistician on multiple clinical trial steering and data safety monitoring committees. I also contribute to MSc programmes at QMUL and hold an honorary appointment as an Associate Professor at UCL.
Research
Research Interests:
My work primarily focuses on medical statistics, clinical trials, and epidemiology. While I have worked across a variety of disease areas, my research interests are particularly in the detection and diagnosis of cancer, dementia, and mental health. Additionally, I have a strong interest in statistical methodology, with a focus on the use of multiple outcomes in clinical trials.
