Centre for Social Interaction Research

In an increasingly globalised, ever-changing world, societies are facing constant challenges from migration, environmental or political change, disease, and an ageing population. How society reacts and responds to these challenges depends on interactions between their constituent parts: the individuals and groups concerned.

By bringing technologists together with researchers examining the processes of social cognition and creative problem solving, and those working in the community, we generate new approaches for promoting inclusive, innovative societies resilient to change.

Research themes

Research of the centre falls within research themes, each spanning the disciplines of biology, psychology, computer science, history, arts and humanities. allowing for the synthesis of conceptual frameworks and the generation of new and novel insights into human interactions and social behaviour.
