The consultation aims to raise awareness of the instrument, get feedback on whether it addresses the law issues that arise in bank liquidation proceedings, and ensure it has multiple applications including being used in both civil and common law jurisdictions. Professor Lastra is an expert member of this Working Group. Read more about UNIDROIT's consultation.

Professor Lastra is Sir John Lubbock Chair in Banking Law and Chair of the Institute of Banking and Finance Law at Queen Mary University of London. Queen Mary and UNIDROIT co-run the Queen Mary-UNIDROIT Institute of Transnational Commercial Law.
