Profile

Professor Paul Deemer is a Visiting Professor at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies, having been appointed in 2018, and is a Retired Partner in Residence of Vinson & Elkins, RLLP.  He also serves as Adjunct Professor of Law at Vanderbilt University Law School in Nashville, Tenn., USA., and he lectures at other academic institutions including the Chinese University of Hong Kong, University of Cambridge and Technische Universitat Berlin. Paul recently served as Co-Chair of the Drafting Committee of the Association of International Energy Negotiators (AIEN), which revised the AIEN Model International Joint Operating Agreement, a standard in the international energy industry.
