Comparative, Evolutionary, and Developmental Epigenetics

We study the mechanisms of chromatin and gene regulation using non-traditional model systems. These species allow us to address important questions in epigenetics by leveraging their unique developmental modes, complex lifestyles, or evolutionary adaptations not present in traditional models systems. We achieve this through comparative (epi)genomics and functional approaches.
