From soft play and give-it-a-go sports, to Queen Mary researchers and community organisations running thought-provoking and hands-on activities, there is something for everyone to get involved in.

All activities are free to attend and food from local providers will be available to buy.

Health and Wellbeing

Get involved with hands-on activities run by Queen Mary researchers and find out what health and wellbeing services local community organisations have to offer. Make puppets, hook a duck to learn about health screening, and explore what flourishing means for you. With opportunities to try Thai boxing and make herbal tea, there are fun family activities for everyone to enjoy.

Hands-On Science

Create an at home chemistry lab and experience tropical butterflies with Queen Mary science researchers. Make a puzzle with mathematical tiles, detect cosmic rays, and design a new super cell! Send a secret message with Morse code and control a robotic hand. Learn something new with fun family activities and hands-on science experiments.

Green Living

Explore your environment with fun family activities and hands-on demonstrations. Discover Tower Hamlets’ Food Map with the Women’s Environmental Network, ‘swim’ with turtles, map your green spaces and learn about local moss. From clothing repair to home composting, there's lots to discover.

Creative Crafts

Get creative with hands-on craft activities run by community organisations and Queen Mary researchers. Learn to knit with Craft Forward, make a fidget spinner at the SEND Parent Ambassadors Sensory Station, and contribute to a mural with Trapped in Zone One. Make origami brains and learn about online safety with the Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre. There will be paints, colouring pens and the opportunity to make a gif, so have a go, get creative and learn something new!

Heritage and Culture

Experience heritage and culture in east London with Queen Mary researchers and local community organisations. Meet a Chinese Dragon and share old wives' tales with the East End Women’s Museum. Learn about the Matchgirls Strike of 1888 and find out what animals lived at the Tower of London. Take part in interactive activities which celebrate everything that makes east London a great place to live and work.
