Professor Kavita Datta has taken up the role of the Head of the School of Geography from 1 January 2022.
Professor Datta is a Professor of Development Geography whose research spans migration studies and economic and financial geography.
Professor Alastair Owens steps down from the role which he has undertaken for over four years.
Dr Alex Henshaw has also taken up the role of Deputy Head of School from Professor Lisa Belyea.
