Regulatory Insights: A Special Lecture and Networking Session with Chris Bates

Chris Bates, Visiting Professorial Fellow at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary University of London and Senior Consultant at Clifford Chance LLP, delivered a special lecture to Queen Mary Banking and Finance Law LLM students, at the invitation of Professor Rosa M. Lastra.

He spoke on the "Regulation of Investment Management" and "UK and EU Regulation of OTC Derivatives and CCPs" andoffered a detailed analysis of the evolving regulatory landscape in these areas. , at the invitation of Professor Rosa M. Lastra

Following the lecture, Professor Lastra, Sir John Lubbock Chair in Banking Law at Queen Mary, organised an informal networking lunch at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies with Chris Bates. This session provided a valuable platform for our students to discuss key industry trends, gain insights into regulatory developments, and learn from Mr Bates' extensive experience in financial regulation and legal practice.
