Subtexts: The Gaza Mono-Logues
28 February 2024

Staff, students, and guests to QM came to listen and commune on Wednesday 28th February while immersing in, channeling, and embodying a voice that says: “Enough!!! We deserve a world better than this, a world without fear, siege or occupation” (ASHTAR Theatre).

A selection of monologues were read in different languages, in live translation and via the theatre's collection: https://www.gazamonologues.com/copy-of-team

Afterwards, we broke bread and enjoyed delicious food from Hiba, a family-owned restaurant specialising in Palestinian and Lebanese food.

The journal, to be published annually, is edited by MA and PhD students under the guidance of Rachael Allen, and features work across UG and PG programmes.
